The state of the art

The state of the art

For the purposes of this site, I often feel a need to detail, describe or explain what exactly I mean by design. Which is annoying, because it’s one of  those things that you just should be able to look up, like the number Pi. (It’s 3.14, which tells you enough for practical reasons. Finding out why that number is so important requires a deep understanding of a broader topic, as it is with design.)

Along comes a solution to my qualms, for Peter Jones of the social design blog presents an excellent rundown of what the art/science is coming to. Required reading.

The accompanying graphic he presents is the most concise thing I’ve seen on the subject, and shall serve very nicely as a reference.
